Sponsoring an Exclusive Flight for 172 Female Veterans in October 2025
The GFWC Florida Flight to Honor project is a heartfelt initiative that honors U.S. military veterans by providing them with an all-inclusive trip to Washington, D.C. The purpose of the trip is to visit war memorials that commemorate their service and sacrifices. This project prioritizes veterans with severe medical conditions, as well as those who served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. For the GFWC Florida President's Project, Sara Dessureau has chosen to focus on honoring female veterans within the GFWC Florida organization. This includes sponsoring an exclusive flight for 172 female veterans in October 2025, covering all expenses such as travel, hotel, and meals. It's a beautiful way to show gratitude and respect for those who have served.
