 The tiles have been shuffled, the laughter has faded into happy memory, and the GFWC Punta Gorda Woman’s Club has officially wrapped another spirited Mahjongg Fundraiser—this one filled with even more joy, generosity, and friendly competition than we imagined. From the moment the first tables filled, the room buzzed with that unmistakable Mahjongg magic: the soft clatter of tiles, bursts of “I needed one more!” and the kind of easy conversation that only happens when friends—old and new—gather with purpose.

Our jewelry table was a hit once again, with pieces finding new homes faster than we could restock. Every bracelet, necklace, and pair of earrings purchased added another thread of support to the programs we fund for women and children in Punta Gorda.

The raffle baskets drew a crowd all their own. Tickets flew, winners cheered, and the excitement reminded us why these moments matter—because every ticket sold helps us extend our reach into the community.

Whether seasoned players or first‑timers, everyone brought their A‑game. Tables erupted in laughter, groans, and triumphant “Mahjongg!” calls that echoed across the room. It was the perfect blend of fun and friendly rivalry.
