Neighbors are already practicing their bowers at kitchen tables, shuffling and reshuffling until the cards feel like an extension of their hands. Friends are sizing each other up over morning coffee, trading playful jabs and pretending not to reveal their strategies. Even the decks themselves seem to hum with anticipation, waiting for the moment they’ll be cracked open under the bright lights of tournament night.
