A Masterpiece of Vision and Skill
State Competition
Punta Gorda Woman’s Club celebrated 2 members whose Arts and Craft entries earned Red Ribbons in the State Competition. State Entries are projects that won Blue Ribbons at both the Local and District Competitions. Punta Gorda had 5 members (7 entries) move to the District Competition. All of the District entries were awarded Blue Ribbons
Punta Gorda Woman’s Club celebrated 2 members whose Arts and Craft entries earned Red Ribbons in the State Competition. State Entries are projects that won Blue Ribbons at both the Local and District Competitions. Punta Gorda had 5 members (7 entries) move to the District Competition. All of the District entries were awarded Blue Ribbons and moved on to the State Competition. The State Competition registered 458 projects for the Competition. We are proud to have 2 projects recognized! Competitions like these often showcase a wide range of creative and skill-based projects, highlighting the dedication and craftsmanship of participants.
With all District entries earning Blue Ribbons, it’s clear that the level of excellence was outstanding.

Leslie Ryan, President, presenting Martha Huntzicker's project... a quilted wall hanging. It combines shells created using candle-wicking embroidery, counted cross stitch and hand and machine quilting, creating a stunning fusion of artistry and tradition.

Leslie also presented Lori Ann Mertens project... a beautifully framed and etched metal picture of dolphins. Their shimmering surfaces reflect light beautifully, bringing depth to their graceful form and celebrating the spirit of the ocean.
